Biography
My name is Emma Mather.
I use traditional techniques to create contemporary textile pieces.
I am constantly inspired by nature's ever changing pallet of colour and texture.
I begin the making process by laying down a bed of handmade felt, I then define the felted surface with hand embroidery and beading.
I aim to create richly coloured snapshots of nature at its best.
